Class & Examination Schedules

Class and examination schedules will be published as they become available.

Many on site examinations have been cancelled due to the Covid virus restrictions.

Several organizations have started giving examinations remotely over the internet.  Here are two links that may assist in finding examinations schedules and procedures.

West Chester Amateur Radio Association – WC8VOA

WCARA is now offering exam sessions. Please register for the exam sessions at the following link: https://hamstudy.org/sessions/WC8VOA

We plan to offer sessions once a month. As we schedule sessions, they will be advertised at the link above.

The exams are $10 unless you qualify for a fee waiver. Exam fees are waived for US residents: minors (max age 17), full time enrolled students (max age 24) with a current ID, Active US Military, US Veterans, and GLAARG VEs upgrading to Extra. Please fill out and submit the Fee Waiver Form (this form is ONLY for WC8VOA sessions)

You can take more than one exam per session. We only ask that you have studied for that element and have been scoring at least 80% on practice tests.

There will now be a $35 fee from the FCC to issue a new license. Upgrades will not be charged the fee. You will have 10 days after your license to log onto the ULS and pay the fee, or have your license declined. These fees will be in addition to the GLAARG fees.
